From the time our Academy opened in August 2011, 1st Virginia Public Safety Training Academy has provided the highest standard of Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) Training in the Commonwealth, consisting of: Special Conservator of the Peace Law Enforcement Certification, Armed Security Officer with Arrest Authority, Armored Car Crew Member, Patrol K-9 Handler, Detector K-9 Handler and Private Investigator Certifications. Our Instructors and Subject Matter Specialists have over 80 years of shared experience in their field of study. We can assure you that once you are trained here, you will not go anywhere else; our goal is to be your FIRST choice in VA DCJS Training.
